Refunds & Returns Policy – HashLotto

Last Updated: 16 March 2026

Thank you for shopping at HashLotto. We sell niche, hobbyist Bitcoin mining hardware such as Bitaxe and NerdMiner devices. Because of the technical nature of these products, please read this policy carefully before purchasing.

1. Change-of-mind returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the product has not been damaged and is returned with all original packaging, cables, and accessories.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The product must be undamaged
  • All original packaging, cables, and accessories must be included
  • The item must not show signs of misuse, modification, or physical damage

Because these are electronic devices, we may decline a return if the product has been damaged, altered, or is not returned in its original condition.

If approved, you can choose a refund (minus shipping costs) or store credit. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

2. Faulty or damaged on arrival (DOA)

If your product arrives damaged or not working out of the box, contact us within 30 days of delivery at:

Email: info@hashlotto.co.za
WhatsApp: 082 603 6403

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the problem
  • Photos or video showing the issue and the packaging

We will first try to troubleshoot remotely (many issues are simple configuration or power problems).
If the device is confirmed to be faulty, we will arrange one of the following at our discretion:

  • A replacement unit, or
  • A repair, or
  • A full refund of the product price

We may ask you to send the product back for inspection before a replacement or refund is approved.

3. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated on the product page:

  • We offer a 12-month limited hardware warranty from the date of delivery.
  • This covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from incorrect power supplies, over-volting or wiring
  • Physical damage, drops, liquid damage, burns
  • Damage from modification, soldering, flashing custom firmware, or overclocking
  • Normal wear and tear

If you believe your device has failed under normal use during the warranty period, contact us with your order number, description and photos/video. We will assess and advise next steps (repair, replacement or partial refund).

4. Non-returnable items

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Products that have been physically modified
  • Devices with obvious misuse, burns or liquid damage

  • Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank/payment provider.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except where we shipped the wrong item or the product is confirmed faulty on arrival.

7. Your rights

This policy applies in addition to your rights under South African consumer law (including the Consumer Protection Act). Nothing in this policy is intended to limit your legal rights.

Lotto vs Bitaxe

Many people happily spend R50 a month on Lotto tickets. With about 10 tickets, your odds of hitting the SA Lotto jackpot are roughly 1 in 2,000,000 for that month.

The Bitaxe Gamma 601 uses about the same R50/month in electricity to hash 24/7. At around 1.2 TH/s solo mining, your chance of hitting a full Bitcoin block in a month is still tiny – roughly 1 in 100,000 at current network difficulty – but you’re effectively in a new “draw” every ~10 minutes.

A full Bitcoin block currently pays 3.125 BTC. For example, if 1 BTC were worth around R1,000,000, that block would be worth about R3,125,000.

You’re spinning hashes instead of lucky numbers and, for R2,999, you own a real piece of mining hardware either way.

IMPORTANT:

This is a hobby, lottery and educational mini-ASIC, not a guaranteed way to make money. Even at 1.2 TH/s, solo mining is still a long-shot lottery; pool mining will only produce small BTC payouts. At South African electricity prices, buy this if you want an entry into the bitcoin lottery and to learn and experiment, not as a sure investment. Not financial advice.
